Storyboard

Image
Storyboard I have created a storyboard for my short film to help visualise the shots that I have written in my script. It is also followed by more in-depth information on sound, shot duration, shot type and lighting. I had to think about the possible sounds that would be in the shots when creating this by splitting it into diegetic and non-diegetic. I also had to anticipate the time each scene would take to work out the shot duration and sketch the scenes to give a visual representation of the shots. This therefore helps the cast and crew understand the shots they will be shooting and gives them a sense of how the scene will be before it is shot. This will positively impact my production stage and my film overall due to there being a visual understanding of the shots for the cast and crew as well as there being information followed by an explanation of the requirements scene for example 'natural lighting' or a 'close-up shot'

Shot List

Image
Shot List I have created a shot call list to organise how I am going to take the shots therefore ensuring that everything goes to plan. I have created this by numbering the shots in order and stating the location, camera angle, camera movement and shot type so when production happens, I know exactly what to do and where to do it. I followed this up by a shot description to give more detail about the shot for example lighting and what the camera is on and how the people should act.

Equipment Booking

Image
Equipment Booking I have created an Equipment Booking table to establish the equipment needed for my short film as well ensuring I don't go over my budget. This helps me organise myself better and ensures I have the correct equipment for when production starts. It explains how I will obtain it as well as the item number ad days it will be required for. I have explained why I have chosen these by listing the capabilities the equipment has.

Production Schedule

Image
Production Schedule I have created a Production Schedule so I can plan the production and post-production process to ensure that the film is ready for release date and so I have a good idea how long everything will take individually and overall. I did this by thinking about what I am going to need to do in each process and have given myself a reasonable time to do each thing. In case I go over, I have given myself a contingency for example if I need more time editing I have some time dedicated to contingency editing and for collecting raw footage, I have a plan in place for collecting extra footage for if I run out of time or if something goes wrong like corruption of footage.

Locations

Image
Location Recce I have created a Location Recce to inform the cast and crew on the location and give other information for example the Telephone number of the school (so they can ask questions) or to inform them that the school is providing food. I gathered the information from the headteacher of the school and have carried out an analysis on the location to ensure it is the right location for my film.

Contingency Plan

Image
Contingency Plan I have created a Contingency Plan because I want everything to go as well as possible with as little faults in production as possible. I have stated the issues and come up with plans to overcome these issues giving each one a risk level. This ensures that the film will go as planned and if something goes wrong, I have a second option.

Cast and Crew Contracts

Image
Cast and Crew Contracts I have created this cast and crew contract to ensure that the people behind the film will not drop-out of production. They are giving dedication to the film ensuring that there are no setbacks and to guarantee that  there are not faults pre and post-production therefore the film will release on time with high quality. I have included a table consisting of  a 'Characters', 'Actor/ Actresses', 'Telephone' and 'E-mail' row so that I have the personal information of the cast and crew so i can easily contact them. I also included an area for signatures so they can sign the document with the documentation provided above. This will positively impact the production of the film and the film overall as the cast and crew cannot drop out as if they need it will be hard to find a replacement and by signing the contract, they are dedicating themselves to the role that they have been hired to play.

Call Sheet

Image
I have created this call sheet to have organisation and to ensure that production goes well and make sure people know when to be here and what is happening on the day. This provides the information that the cast and crew need to access me and I need to access them with their roles and plans for the day which is beneficial for production as this ensures the cast and crew show up to set at the right time.
